Casual Landscape in Japan : Cherry Blossoms


The cherry blossoms bloomed a little earlier this year.
There are small parks here and there in the residential area I live, where cherry blossoms are often planted.
In addition, cherry blossoms are often planted along the river that runs through the city.

And in almost every school they are planted.Cherry blossoms are planted everywhere indeed.
This shows how much cherry blossoms are liked by everyone.

There are many varieties of cherry blossoms, but the most popular is 'Somei Yoshino'(Yoshino Cherry).
Even before the 'Somei Yosino' blooms, the weather forecast on TV will give us informations about the blooming of them along with the weather.
This variety blooms all at once on its leafless branches and falls all at once when it reaches full bloom.It is said that such characteristics are also one of the reasons why people like it.

We japanese naturally know that the word "flower" sometimes means cherry blossoms.Cherry-blossom viewing is called 'Hanami' in japanese. ′hana′ means ′flower′ and ′mi′ means ′viewing′ in japanese.
In the average year, many people enjoy drinking alcohol near the cherry tree at this time of year , but it is still difficult now due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus.

　ありがたく思うと共に、その情熱に私は敬意を抱きます。

 

　以前、何も考えずに強風下のうちの盆栽棚の風景をYOUTUBEに上げた際、「東京の雰囲気が伝わる」という言葉をいただきました。
　私はその動画にそういった趣旨はなく、そういった感想が予想外だったもので、その感想がとても印象に残りました。
　そう言われてみると、普段私が投稿している画像や動画で、盆栽と、そこに宿る日本人の感覚は伝わることはあっても、日本の何気ない日常というのはそこにないのですよね。

　私自身、ネット上の画像や動画を見ていて、外国の普通の風景の中に見えるものの中にある面白いものに対する興味というのは強くあります。

　そういうことを考えると、「日本の何気ない風景」と題して、たまに気が向いた時にでも、そういった趣旨の投稿をするのも楽しい気がしてきました。
